The front door leads to an entrance room with windows along one wall overlooking the drive and garden with a view of the mountains and sea. It has seating including a single futon, a coffee table, a tiled floor with underfloor heating and it leads to a small utility room with toilet, and up two steps to the lounge.
The utility room has a washer/drier, sink, lockable cupboard, toilet, mirror from Tough Furniture and a tiled floor with underfloor heating.
The lounge has a TV and DVD/Blu-ray player in a lockable unit with protective screen and cupboards from Tough Furniture (http://www.toughfurniture.com). There is seating for up to 6 people and the floor is tiled with slate and benefits from underfloor heating. It leads to a kitchen and single bedroom, and steps with safety gate across, lead to a narrow hallway.
The kitchen is accessed from the lounge via a stable door and is separated from the dining area by a small partition and child safety-gate. It has an oven, induction hob, microwave, dishwasher, fridge freezer, lockable units & drawers and tiled floor with underfloor heating. The window overlooks a small fenced lawn. The dining area has seating for up to 6 people. A highchair/booster seat is available.
The single bedroom has as much as possible, without losing the character of the room, been designed with safety and autism needs in mind, thus offering a bedroom specifically for an individual with complex behaviours. It is of course guests' choice as to how they wish to use each bedroom. This room has a sloping ceiling and is located off the lounge via a stable door. It has minimal furniture or distractions, to minimise over-stimulation. There is a single bed with waterproof mattress from Tough Furniture and a comfy foam chair which folds out into an extra single bed if needed. The room has two windows with curtains attached by Velcro, and a ceiling Velux window with blind. Two double sockets are sunk into the wall. The light can be activated from either the bed or doorway. The room has a slate tiled floor with underfloor heating.
The double bedroom is accessed off the hallway. It has a double bed, wardrobe, chest of drawers, bedside table with lamps, a radiator and wooden floorboards. There is an extra z-bed for flexible sleeping arrangements.
The bunk room which is off the hall, has a bunk bed with drawers beneath, bookshelf, single bed, drawers, radiator and wooden flooring. It has a lockable cupboard for storing larger items such as ironing board, vacuum cleaner and baby items - travel cot with bedding, booster seat, changing mat, etc. A door leads outside.
The bathroom is located off the hall and has a bath with shower over, toilet, washbasin and mirrored cabinet from Tough Furniture.
